Privacy Policy for OMR GujApp
Effective Date: June 22, 2026
This privacy policy applies to the OMR GujApp application (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices.
1. Information Collection and Use
For a better experience while using our Service, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information or specific permissions:
Camera Permission: The Application requires access to your device's camera to scan OMR sheets. The images captured are used strictly for optical mark recognition and evaluation.
Images & Scanned Content: To accurately grade and process OMR sheets, captured images are sent securely to Google's Gemini API for cloud-based Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and data extraction.
Local Storage: The Application stores extracted OMR data (like tracking IDs, scores, and exam logs) locally on your device (using a local database) so you have access to your historical records.
Internet Access: The Application requires constant internet access to connect with the Gemini API, download advertisements, and perform core processing.
2. Third-Party Services
The Application uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you.
Google Gemini API: Scanned images of OMR sheets are temporarily sent to the Google Gemini API exclusively for image-to-text inference and grading. Please review Google's Privacy Policy to understand how they handle data processed through their APIs.
Google AdMob: The Application displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may automatically collect and use device identifiers (such as Android Advertising ID), IP addresses, and other diagnostic data to deliver personalized or non-personalized ads.
3. Data Retention and Deletion
The Application does not store images of the OMR sheets permanently on any external servers. Images are only transmitted for the moment of inference.
The textual and numerical data extracted from the sheets are stored locally on your device. You can completely delete these records at any time by clearing the Application's data in your Android settings or by uninstalling the app.
4. Security
We value your trust in providing us your information, which is why we strive to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. However, please remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
5. Children’s Privacy
These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to do the necessary actions.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted on this page.
